Axis Bank saved Paytm.



As we all know Paytm Payment Bank was banned by RBI after 29 Feb 2024 which extended till 15th March, but Axis Bank came to the rescue of Paytm.


Before this ban, all QR payments of the Paytm merchants were done by the Paytm payments bank but now Axis Bank has done a deal with Paytm to process all its payments through merchants QR.


Paytm is a big player in India's online payment revolution so any impact on it will affect a big portion of India's population.


Paytm payments bank was banned by RBI (India's central bank) for the misconduct of its rules and regulations. Read more.
